It is absolutely wrong to say only recently we have come under one head Hindus. When people starting butchering hindus in 8th century, they did not differentiate priests, vs soldiers. They killed everybody. Infact they decimated the soldiers, priest hood and scholars in that order, and made artisans do work for them. All Indians came to be called as Hindus then.
However I disagree when you state, that they do not drink water from each others houses. I do not think it is a practise that is being followed. It is somehow true that intermarriage is not common, though there have always been exceptions and as Hindus are known to do, they have come to accept it.

Apart from physical attraction (here please note beauty is in the eye of the beholder), self-esteem, compassion (atleast towards others in the family), playfulness (childishness & Humour) and clarity of thought.
